چکیده
Fire is one of the most common disturbances in natural ecosystems. The analysis various sources information (official and unofficial) about fires Ukraine (2019–2020) showed a lack timely reliable information. Satellite observation crucial importance to provide accurate, reliable, This paper aims modify index fire danger forest’s FWI by increasing its precision, based on use higher spatial resolution satellite data. A modification method involves utilization soil moisture deficit, addition six subindices system. In order calculate values, weather data from Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service were used. Soil deficit calculated using Sentinel-1 radar water saturation degree surface layer geospatial parameters 3D Hydraulic Database Europe. application proposed methodology specified satellite, weather, makes it possible assess continental scale with 250 m, 1 km, daily temporal resolution. Validation for modifying system demonstrates an improvement precision relevance prediction.

Satellite Active Fire Product Validation Using High Spatial Resolution Reference Data
* Corresponding author. Abstract – Current satellite active fire products provide a snapshot of biomass burning activity at regional to global scales. In order to assess the performance of those products, it is important to: (i) have near-coincident reference data to avoid validation artefacts due to short-term variations in fire conditions; and (ii) to be able to represent the entire active fi...
متن کاملTsunami Damage Detection Using Moderate-resolution Satellite Imagery
A moment-magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck the area off the western coast of northern Sumatra on 26 December 2004, which triggered massive tsunamis inundating the coastal areas in the countries along the Indian Ocean Rim. Various moderateto high-resolution satellite images were obtained before and after the tsunami attack and used for emergency management. High-resolution satellite (e.g. IKONOS) ...
متن کاملOn the Estimation of Fire Severity Using Satellite ASTER Data and Spatial Autocorrelation Statistics
What are the ecological effects of fires? The evaluation of fireaffected areas and fire severity is of primary importance to answer this question, because fire strongly affects the ecological processes, such as, productivity level, creation of altered patches, modification in vegetation structure and shifts in vegetation cover composition, as well as land surface processes (such as surface ener...
متن کاملTropical forest mapping from coarse spatial resolution satellite data: production and accuracy assessment issues
Global to regional datasets from coarse spatial resolution satellite sensors are increasingly becoming available. Land cover and vegetation extent maps are among the terrestrial products derived from such data. Whilst they provide a previously unavailable synoptic view of global situations, accuracy assessment methodological issues are often ignored when creating these digital databases or prod...
متن کاملAerosol Optical Depth Spatial and Temporal Variability Using Satellite Data Over Indian Major Cities
Introduction: The study’s main aim is to investigate the long-term variation of Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD). It also aims to show the relationship between meteorological parameters. This study evaluates long-term (2010 to 2021) special and temporal changes over major Indian regions using satellite-based data from NASA’s Terra Satellite. Materials and Methods: This study was carried out during ...
